Ducati Desert X is a splendid motorcycle, powerful but easy to handle, but to use it off-road is necessary to protect its beating heart. The skid plate is an element which protects the important parts of our motorbike, without which
it can’t work, also extending to the catalyst. On the right part the skid plate extends to protect even the brake lever, ‘cause the lever is in such a position that, in case of fall, it can damage the bike. On the left side it extends to protect
the water pump and we also proceed a 2,5lt toolbox, really useful when off-roading to place an emergency repair kit.
Such a study product can’t be fixed directly on the original attachment much less to the motor, so we designed it with an anchor plate structural steel 3mm thick to hook directly to the motorbike’s frame , to distribute and absorb the forces of a multi-point impact (tripod support) and other two brackets in structural steel 5mm anchored to the frames to resist even to off-roading impacts. Produced in structural aluminum “Paraluman” with great features of corrosion’s resistance and strength, TIG welded by an artisan with a really long-time experience to create a work of art to
apply to your motorbike. The skid plate comes with special screws for mounting and suitable spacers to mount in with
Ducati original’s crash bars. We also studied a plate to insert into suitable loopholes to permit motorbike lift during maintenance via a scissor lift. Available in two colors: Coated Anthracite (coated with anti-scratch powder and baked annealed) and natural brushed aluminum.
